Environmental Policy
Beatties Recycling Ltd. recycles scrap, damaged or unwanted vehicles and scrap metals. We are committed to protecting the environment and will strive to achieve continual environmental improvement and to prevent pollution.
We will work to:
-Ensure that we are fully compliant with all environmental legislation and other requirements.
-Reduce energy consumption where possible.
-Provide a high quality waste management service for the collection and recycling of scrap vehicles.
-Minimise the potential of pollution to water and soil from End of Life Vehicle disposal through the
deppolution process.
-Develop objectives and targets and action plans to help us improve our environmental performance.
-Ensure all our employees are aware of the potential impacts on the environment.
-Advise and train employees as necessary to meet our environmental objectives.
This policy will be available to the public and will be available to all persons working for or on behalf of the organization.
Beatties have recently completed the STEM project. This is a cross border initiative which assists local businesses in developing an environmental management system to manage waste which may adversely affect our environment. We have been awarded with British Standard 8555 and we intend to proceed to be accredited with the ISO 14001.
